It is for a track that is part of his upcoming album.
As he celebrated his 29th birthday, original Filipino music (OPM) soloist unveiled his single entitled Pagdating ng Panahon, which he personally wrote.
Dubbed as an “anthem for a special someone who lives across the world,” the music video for the said song was shot in the Philippines and Australia and was directed by Richard Goot and Inigo’s father, who is none other than actor-singer Piolo Pascual.
“It was my dad’s idea when we were on a tour in Australia. My dad was doing everything—he was finding locations where we were going to shoot. It was the first time my dad has ever done something like that,” said Iñigo in a press statement.
The said video, which has already amassed more than 155,000 views as of this writing, features BINI member Mikha Lim as his best friend and love interest.
The Kapamilya star shared how he personally chose Mikha to be his leading lady in the music video.
“She was our first choice when my dad decided to film the stuff in Australia. We have the same group of friends. I’m glad she was nice enough and willing to do it,” he said, expressing his gratitude that she agreed to take part despite BINI’s demanding schedule.
This single follows Iñigo’s comeback release, Ikaw at Ikaw, whose message is closely connected to the new song. Both tracks will be part of his upcoming album.
He popularized the songs like Dahil Sa’yo, Balang Araw, Catching Feelings, Mr. Nice Guy, and more. The 28-year-old also sang the official Philippine version of Remember Me, the official soundtrack of the animated movie Coco.
Previously, he released an international album Options under ABS-CBN’s other label, Tarsier Records, before starring in the Hollywood series Monarch, which aired in 2022.
Iñigo is also set to star in the upcoming TV5 series The Good Doctor, which is the Philippine adaptation of the 2013 Korean series, which will air sometime in 2027.
