A temporary change in the top-rating Kapuso program.
On Wednesday, September 16, actor Dingdong Dantes shared a major news for avid viewers of the afternoon game show Family Feud.
The Kapuso Primetime King said in a pre-recorded message, which he teased in the past few days.
“Dahil po sa walang sawa niyo pong pagtangkilik sa The Master Cutter at dahil kailangan kong tutukan ang mga paparating na taping ng programa para lalo pa po itong mapaganda, pansamantala po akong magpapahinga bilang host ng Family Feud,” he said.
Dantes assured that this will only be temporary, with the show not going anywhere. Instead, a special main host has been tapped to host the program in the coming weeks.
“Habang wala po ako sa programa, sasamahan muna kayo ng isa sa mga iniidolo, iginagalang, at minamahal ko at nating Kapuso, si Mr. Michael V,” Dingdong announced.
“Babalik po ako very, very soon. Pero simula bukas, si Idol Bitoy… siya na muna (ang magho-host). Idol Bitoy, ikaw na muna bahala sa studio.”
“Survey says, si Michael V muna ang makakasama ninyo gabi-gabi, dito lang sa Family Feud,” he concluded his message, noting that the change will take effect on Thursday, September 17.
With this development, Michael V will return to hosting game shows, which he last did through a guest participation in Wowowin in 2021, as well as Lip Sync Battle Philippines, Killer Karaoke: Pinoy Naman, Hole In The Wall, and more.
Concurrent to Family Feud, the “Comedy Genius” will continue to be seen on the country’s longest-running sitcom Pepito Manaloto and the longest-running gag show Bubble Gang.
Family Feud airs from Monday to Friday at 5:35 pm on GMA Network.
