After 10 years, ten cooks in the region battle it out for the chance to reign supreme in the MasterChef kitchen.
This September 22, the latest season of the reality cooking competition MasterChef Asia will finally air on TLC Southeast Asia and stream on the HBO Max platform.
The comebacking franchise, which last aired in 2016, will see Edward Lee, Pichaya Soontornyanakij (Pam), and Kelvin Cheung sit as judges over the course of the season that will run for 10 episodes.
Representing the Philippines in the said contest is none other than Ivory Yat Vaksman, who ranked third in the first-and-only season to date of the MasterChef Pinoy Edition that aired on ABS-CBN from 2012 to 2013.
She is set to compete against nine of her regional peers, who all competed in other editions from other countries in the past. They are Areum Yoon, Audrey Wicaksana, Khanh Ong, Marcus Low, Mime Kataniwa, Nambie Marak, Sahadol Tantrapim (Pond), Sandy Tang, and Therese Lum.
Meanwhile, it has also been confirmed that Filipina food content creator Abi Marquez, also known as the Lumpia Queen, will be part of the show as a guest judge.
It was back in 2015 when the first season of MasterChef Asia was launched, with production based in Singapore.
