TV5’s ‘Una Sa Lahat,’ ‘Frontline Pilipinas’ adjust time slots effective September 7

The back-to-back news fare on the Kapatid network will remain.

The back-to-back news fare on the Kapatid network will remain.

Beginning Monday, September 7, a brand new TodoMax Primetime block will be seen by viewers of free-to-air network TV5.

This, as the station introduces an expanded block featuring another Kapamilya show in the pre-primetime block.

Effective on the said date, the local version of the game show Minute To Win It, hosted by Luis Manzano, will be simultaneously aired on TV5 and ABS-CBN platforms at 5:45 pm.

As a result, adjustments have been made to the primetime news belt comprising Una Sa Lahat and the flagship newscast Frontline Pilipinas.

From September 7, Una Sa Lahat, which is anchored by Jiggy Manicad, will now air at 6:30 pm, an hour later than its former timeslot at 5:30 pm.

It is expected continue to banner the biggest news and developments in politics, but now condensed in a 15-minute format.

Right after USL, Frontline Pilipinas will immediately follow at 6:45 pm and still anchored by the tandem of Julius Babao and Cheryl Cosim, alongside Jervi Wrightson.

This shift will see the flagship TV5 newscast  revert to a 75-minute runtime, which was its original length prior to the scheduling changes that occurred back in January 2026 following the termination of an earlier deal between the Kapatid and Kapamilya networks.

BACK-TO-BACK PRIMETIME NEWSCAST

Notably, Monday’s scheduling overhaul will also mark TV5’s return to a 90-minute news block between 6:30 and 8:00 pm, directly competing against ABS-CBN’s TV Patrol and GMA’s 24 Oras in terms of length and actual time slot.

It was back in 2023 when the network first attempted such a move with Frontline Pilipinas, then anchored by Babao, Cosim, and Manicad.

It would be slightly altered in June 2024, when the network slotted in the drama series Lumuhod Ka Sa Lupa at 7:30 pm, prompting the last 30 minutes to be exclusively seen on other platforms such as RPTV (on certain days), One PH, and online, and heard on True FM.

That practice would be stopped later on as TV5 eventually refreshed its evening news offering when it launched Primetime Primera in May 2025.

Apart from adding another drama series in between Frontline Pilipinas and then-top-rating series FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, the station effectively divided the flagship newscast.

Manicad would eventually present Una Sa Lahat, which got its title of the introductory video segment of Frontline Pilipinas before the move.

The main edition, meanwhile, returned to its original dual-anchor setup with Babao and Cosim—a setup that remains in effect to this day.

Una Sa Lahat and Frontline Pilipinas will air back-to-back every weeknight from 6:30 pm on TV5, RPTV (on select days), One PH, True FM, and Kapatid digital platforms starting Monday, September 7.
