The couple happily shared this important moment for their family.
In a post on Instagram on Wednesday, September 2, actress-content creator Alex Gonzaga and her husband, Lipa City Vice Mayor Mikee Morada, proudly showed to the world their newborn.
“Now there are three of us, with our very own little baby boy,” wrote Alex in the caption of the clip that was taken during her recovery period following her safe delivery at a hospital in Taguig City.
In the video, the couple was visibly overflowing with joy as they caress their son, whose name they have not revealed.
In the comments section of the said post, Alex’s fellow celebrities joined them in celebrating this special moment. Among those who sent their greetings include Luis Manzano and Jessy Mendiola, Maja Salvador, Carla Abellana, Iya Villania, Jolina Magdangal Gladys Reyes, Kim Molina, Bea Borres, and Valeen Montenegro.
Prior to this, Alex also shared a video of her “pregnant life” on her YouTube channel, where she showed parts of her nine-month journey to becoming a mother.
It was last May when Alex personally ended months-long speculations about her condition and confirmed that they were pregnant.
In that post, Alex shared the challenges that they faced in the past six years of their marriage. The couple tied the knot during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
“After almost 6 years of marriage and 3 heartbreaking losses, we never lost faith and continued to surrender everything to the Lord,” she said.
She also revealed that they have already sought to undergo in vitro fertilization (IVF) when they received the news that they have conceived their baby.
The couple then thanked everyone who have prayed, hoped, and supported them through their entire journey of becoming parents.
