It will finally be seen by more viewers on free TV.
On Wednesday, September 2, GMA Network officially released the promotional video plug of the hit Viu digital series Love, Siargao.
The drama, set in the titular location of Siargao Island in Surigao del Norte, is top-billed by the Asia’s Multimedia Star and Kapuso leading man Alden Richards and the Multimedia Princess and award-winning actress Nadine Lustre.
It follows Jao (Alden Richards) and Kara (Nadine Lustre), whose lives will get entangled with one another because of the “Siargao curse.”
Kara decided to stay put the moment she set foot on the island, while Jao, who is broken upon his arrival on the island, had his relationship ended by his girlfriend.
Jao will then hire Kara as his tour guide to discover the island and find something he had lost.
Love, Siargao is under the direction of the tandem of Dwein Baltazar and Jade Castro, with the two actors joining an ensemble of cast featuring Kim Ji-soo, Kakki Teodoro, Kyline Alcantara, Gab Lagman, AZ Martinez, Vince Maristela, Adrian Lindayag, and and viral Kalokalike contestant Christopher Diwata.
Former It’s Showtime host Coleen Garcia also has a special participation in this project, marking her acting comeback.
According to GMA Network, the show will air each weeknight at 9:35 pm on the flagship channel starting September 28. Meanwhile, a delayed telecast will also be shown on the secondary station, GTV, at 11:25 pm on the same night.
Meanwhile, serving as the series’ official theme song is the song entitled Alon, which is a single recorded by Filipino K-pop star JL Gaspar—who is now a member of the boy band AHOF.
