She will be investigating unsolved murder cases.
On Tuesday, September 1, Netflix confirmed the production and cast of its new Korean series, which has been given the working title of Materesa.
The said series will be top-billed by Nana, whose titular character is described as a “cold-blooded criminal psychologist and professor named Ma Teresa.” Furthermore, her character also has a “hardened exterior and complex inner turmoil.”
In the story, she will conduct investigations on unsolved murder cases, with her getting asked to consult on high-profile cold-case murder investigations.
She is joined by her assistant, Park Seol (Kim Dan), while her long-time friend and prosecutor Yoo A-ram (Jung Gun-joo) is wary of Seol lingering by Teresa’s side.
“As Ma Teresa interrogates criminals to uncover clues and comes closer to the long-desired truth, she finds herself swept up in unexpected emotions,” the premise further read.
Materesa is set to be directed by Jang Young-woo, who previously directed Queen of Tears and Bulgasal: Immortal Souls. The story wad written by Kwon So-ra and Seo Jea-won. This project is set to stream on Netflix soon.
