The two love teams in one digital movie project.
On Thursday, August 27, Cornerstone Studios officially introduced the four stars of the upcoming Netflix movie directed by Rod Marmol.
Entitled ‘First Sem,’ taking the lead in this project are Kapamilya stars Kyle Echarri and Kai Montinola, alongside Lella Ford and Joaquin Arce.
According to a report by ABS-CBN News, Echarri will portray the character of an engineering student named Joms, while Montinola will play the part of a journalism student, Ife.
Ford and Arce will respectively portray the characters of the top student Ella and the playboy Wax.
At present, no further details regarding its exact streaming date has been announced as of this writing, but it is expected to debut on the streaming platform sometime in 2027.
This movie will be the first time that Kyle and Kai, also known as Kai-Kyle, will be top-billing a project. Previously, they were seen together in an episode of the drama anthology Maalaala Mo Kaya and the action series Roja.
Meanwhile, Joaquin and Lella, also called LelQuin, are both alums of the reality show Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0, where the actor-model emerged as the Kapamilya third big placer, with the model being hailed as the Kapamilya Big Winner of the season that saw teen artists from both ABS-CBN’s Star Magic and GMA’s Sparkle live under one roof.
