The wedding bells will soon ring for the celebrity couple.
In a handwritten letter posted on his Instagram account, Korean actor Jang Dong Yoon announced that he is set to tie the knot with his partner, actress Kim Seung Yoon, this October.
Written in Korean, the translated letter reads: “Today, I have some news to share with you directly, so I’m writing this. I’m getting married to someone I’ve been with for a long time in October.“
Jang, 34, told that his wedding ceremony with Kim, 29, will be a “quiet” one, with only their families and friends invited.
“There were many thoughts and considerations before deciding to get married. We spent a lot of time together, getting to know each other’s various sides, and that’s how we came to understand and cherish each other more,” he continued.
“Now, we’ve decided to be each other’s support in the closest place, and live happily and joyfully together.“
The actor also conveyed that he wanted to share the news to his fans first, whom he said have been with him since he started his journey over a decade ago.
“You may be surprised by the sudden news, but I’d appreciate it if you could watch over me with a warm heart,” he further shared.
To end, he promised to continue striving to show a “good image as an actor, and to live more maturely as a person.”
According to reports, the couple have previously worked together in a short film entitled Please Be My Ear, which the actor directed, and most recently, in The Yeast.
Jang Dong Yoon was first discovered after being interviewed for a news report back in 2014.
He would later make his debut in 2016 and starred in projects such as Solomon’s Perjury and A Poem A Day before his breakthrough role in the Tale of Nokdu in 2019, where he portrayed the part of Jeon Nokdu.
Meanwhile, Kim Seung Yoon starred in dramas like Crash and For Eagle Brothers, with the actress also having a guest role in the series Filing For Love.
