Continuing their longstanding commitment with the band and the company.
On Thursday, August 20, Korean music label SM Entertainment announced that it has come to an agreement with the members of NCT Dream, the sub-unit of its mega boy band NCT.
This, as Renjun, Jeno, Jaemin, Chenle, and Jisung have renewed their ties with the company, while Haechan has previously done so together with the other members in another sub-unit, NCT 127.
“This decision reflects the strong bond and mutual trust the members have built over the years, as well as their shared commitment to continuing their journey together as NCT DREAM,” the company said.
They also noted that the team has continued to “grow and evolve, turning countless dreams into reality and establishing themselves as one of K-pop’s leading acts,” with them having shared “messages of hope and positivity through their youthful energy and passion in the past ten years.”
SM then thanked the fans, Czennies, for their support towards the group and expressed the label’s commitment to continuing their full support toward NCT Dream in the future.
“We ask for your continued love and support for NCT DREAM and hope you will look forward to their upcoming activities throughout the second half of this year,” the company also hinted at the possible comeback of the group within the last few months of 2026.
NCT Dream debuted as one of the offshoots of the NCT in 2016 and was originally a seven-piece group including former NCT member Mark—who left the band and the company last April.
They went on to become popular for their debut single Chewing Gum, which was then followed by the likes of My First and Last, We Go Up, BOOM, Ridin’, Hot Sauce, Hello Future, Beatbox, ISTJ, and Broken Melodies, among others.
