With the other half of the series set to launch in September.
On Friday, August 28, the first set of episodes of ABS-CBN Studios’ latest vertical drama on the streaming platform iWant, entitled A Cake To Remember, will make its premiere.
Starring the FranSeth loveteam of Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin, the show promises to show the “struggles of recalling a sweet but forgotten romance” under the direction of Emerald Silvestre.
This series will follow Mandy (Francine), a pastry chef who will accept a wedding cake commission to save her struggling bakery.
But the twist comes when the said cake is meant for her ex-fiancé, Landon (Seth), who had apparently left her at the altar on their supposed wedding day.
Although, Mandy did not know that Landon was in a coma after a tragic accident just before their wedding, causing him to lose all memories of her.
“Now determined to make him remember their love before he marries someone else, Mandy hopes the cakes they once made and shared can unlock his lost memories,” the premise continued.
The said series is the latest microdrama of ABS-CBN Studios, which released in recent months the hit vertical serials led by the viral hit The Chambermaid’s Daughter starring Gelo Rivera and Alexa Ilacad, followed by Twist Of Fate of Yen Santos, Rafael Rosell, Tony Labrusca, and Angelica Lao, and the rom-com Will You Fake Marry Me? of JM Ibarra and Fyang Smith.
A Cake To Remember is also one of the upcoming programs on iWant this August, with the slate including The Angeline Quinto Show and the fourth season of the ABS-CBN News digital original series Philippines’ Most Shocking Stories.
Part 1 episodes will be released on August 28, which will then be followed by Part 2 on September 4 (Friday).
Its first five episodes will also stream for free on iWant and ABS-CBN Entertainment’s Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube pages.
Francine and Seth first starred together in the afternoon soap opera Kadenang Ginto, which led to their inclusion in The Gold Squad in 2019.
While being paired with their previous partners, the two worked together anew in the inspirational series Huwag Kang Mangamba in 2021.
In 2023, they were formally launched as FranSeth through the revenge-drama Dirty Linen and served as hosts of the filler noontime show It’s Your Lucky Day later that same year.
They also made their big screen debut in 2024 through the Metro Manila Film Festival entry My Future You.
