It is the “vhie-ggest” celebration of the program.
On Saturday, August 15, TV5’s music countdown and variety program Vibe+ aired the first of its two-part special episode to mark its first anniversary on the air.
In this special episode of the show, several stars have come together to join the celebration.
Apart from hosts of the program — the Vibe Jocks led by Dylan Menor, Gigi de Lana, Ana Ramsey, Joao Constancia, Ryle Santiago, Queenay Mercado, and Carmela Lozarno — several artists from the network’s Star Worx agency were also present.
Meanwhile, Kapamilya singer-host-actress Maymay Entrata also joined the electrifying opening production number, while the P-pop trio DNA also took the stage in the succeeding segment. Dodong Cruz and Bandang Lapis also performed as part of the subsequent portions.
A highlight of the live episode was the powerful vocals delivered by the Queen of Teleserye Themesongs and Power Diva, Angeline Quinto, who sang her hit singles At Ang Hirap and Patuloy Ang Pangarap alongside Elha Nympha, Ana Ramsey, and Carmela Lozarno.
Towards the end of the episode, it was announced that the already stellar lineup will be even more powerful in the following week, with Ogie Alcasid and Rivermaya being the two headliners.
Since its launch in 2025, the program has also seen multiple changes from its original set-up. Originally, it had two weekday editions and separate programs for Saturday and Sunday, with the latter being the main program.
However, in recent months, it has seen major changes. First, the weekday afternoon edition Vibe Up and the Saturday program Vibe TV were both scrapped.
The main Vibe was transferred to Saturday nights, with a replay episode on Sundays called Vibe Playback.
Recently, amid the ongoing restructuring od the TodoMax Primetime block, Vibe Nights was also reduced to 15 minutes every weeknight at 10:45 pm.
Original director, Johnny Manahan, also exited the show and is now only mostly involved in the handling of talents under Mediaquest’s talent management arm Star Worx.
In July, the program was also reformatted to its current title.
Vibe+ airs every Saturday from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm, with the Playback every Sunday from 12:00 noon to 1:30 pm.
