They are set to be seen together anew in a TV series after more than a decade.
In a post on her Instagram account, actress-singer and ’90s icon Jolina Magdangal shared how she felt after the recent TV5 trade launch, where her upcoming series Mommy Guard was officially announced.
In the said program, she is set to be reunited with her long-time on-screen partner Marvin Agustin, together with Dominic Ochoa and Roxanne Guinoo, among an ensemble cast.
She revealed that she felt back then that what she prayed for in the past is already coming true.
“Sa launch ng Mommy Guard sa Trade Event, mas tumindi ang pakiramdam ko na unti-unti nang natutupad ang proyektong matagal ko nang dinasal,” she wrote. “Sa totoo lang, sobra akong overwhelmed at punong-puno ng saya.“
Jolens also noted that she is thankful for fans’ continued support to her and Marvin, whom she endearingly calls as her “labtim.”
“Napakarami nang taon ang lumipas, pero hanggang ngayon ay hindi pa rin ninyo ako iniwan, ganun din ang labtim kong si M A R V I N,” Momshie Jols shared.
“Ang sarap isipin na kahit kami ay nag pursue na ng aming mga kanya kanyang buhay ay nabibigyan pa din kami ng pagkakataon na magsama at gumawa ng malalaking proyekto tulad nito.”
She also said that she will forever treasure the love that they have been receiving and will work to evolve for their supporters.
“Habambuhay kong pahahalagahan ang pagmamahal at tiwalang ipinagkaloob ninyo sa amin. Patuloy akong magsisikap na mag-evolve kasama ang mga taong walang sawang naniwala at sumuporta sa amin sa pagdaan ng mga taon, habang buong puso ring tinatanggap at pinapahalagahan ang mga bagong nakikiisa sa aming paglalakbay.“
Meanwhile, she also thanked TV5 management and Star Magic for the chance of showcasing her capabilities as an artist and as a person.
“Maaring nostalgia ang naiisip ninyo palagi sa akin at sa aming dalawa pero wish ko na makapaghatid kami ng mas marami pang dahilan upang mas maging makulay ang pagsasama natin lahat,” Jolina furthered.
Set to premiere in the second half of 2026, Mommy Guard will mark the reunion of Jolina, Marvin, and Dominic, who starred in the 1999 film Hey Babe.
As for MarJo, the name of the love team of the lead stars, they starred together in the film Ex Ex Lovers in 2025. Prior to that, their last project together was the ABS-CBN afternoon series Flordeliza in 2015.
