Kris Aquino joins latest campaign of streaming platform

The Queen has made her return.

The Queen has made her return.

On Friday, August 7, the one-and-only Queen of All Media, Kris Aquino, made her return to screens as she was formally introduced as the new C.H.I.K.A. or the Chief Head of Insight and Kontent Analysis of streaming giant Netflix Philippines.

In the more than two-minute-long video, the seasoned TV host and actress portrayed the larger-than-life character, who has “40 years of experience,” and sat down with a video editor behind three local shows seen on the over-the-top service.

As C.H.I.K.A., she “suggested” changes be made to scenes, such as having more snow to fit the winter vibe, adding more action into an already action-filled scene, and having “more style.”

These programs were “Kris Aquino approved,” with the Queen Of All Media even doing a visual callback to her famous meme from her eponymous talk show Kris TV, where she had an arrow and a bow.

“Bullseye! I’ve still got it,” she said in the end of the video.

According to the streaming platform, Kris’ portrayal of C.H.I.K.A. will last for three weeks, but audiences have already expressed their excitement about this being the signal of her return to the limelight.

The TV host and actress is the daughter of President Corazon Aquino and Senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino, Jr., and sister of President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III.

She has made an indelible mark in Philippine showbusiness over the past four decades and became the star and face of many programs and movies.

The list includes the likes of The Buzz, Today With Kris, Balitang Kris, Game KNB?, Feng Shui, Sukob, Mano Po, Segunda Mano, Sisterakas, Kris TV, Aquino and Abunda Tonight, Kapamilya Deal Or No Deal, Wheel of Fortune Philippines, and more.

She has been inactive in the past few years due to her health condition, but kept her fans and the public posted on social media.

In recent months, she was seen very much active and even made a surprise set visit to Eat Bulaga, where her son, Bimby Aquino, serves as a semi-regular co-host.
