Letting nature lovers welcome the sunrise with the view of birds flying in the horizon.
For three Sundays this August, the Masungi Georeserve in Rizal is opening itself to those who are inclined to welcome the daybreak not only with a breath of fresh air, but also a view of the beauty of nature.
This, as they are set to hold the Birds & Breakfast event, which it describes to be a walk through nature “filled with birdsong, warm coffee, and the quiet magic of the outdoors.
“Under canopy of trees, explore the fascinating world of birds and learn how they play an essential role in maintaining a healthy ecosystem,” it added.
The first Sunday when it will take place is on August 2, 2026, with the entire event running from 4:30 am to 9:00 am. The same time period will also apply for the two succeeding Sundays of the said program on August 9 and August 30.
Each guest will pay a conservation fee worth PHP1,800, with binoculars and breakfast to be provided.
Slots are available for the August 2 event are now fully committed, with the two other dates open for sign-ups at bit.ly/BirdingAtMasungi open until four (4) days before the scheduled event.
