With the venue positiined as a premier events space in the Queen City of the South.
In a disclosure, SM Prime reported that the 20 major shows have been lined up at the SM Seaside Cebu Arena, which had just made its full-scale opening last July 11.
According to them, the lineup features Filipino and international acts, live productions, sports events and family entertainment. It also noted that some are even set for their “first large-scale performances in the region.“
Some of the confirmed acts include OPM couple TJ Monterde and KZ Tandingan on September 5 and the American band LANY, which will play on November 6 and 12 this year.
Meanwhile, the arena was recently opened by the Nation’s Girl Group BINI, which performed last July 11. They were followed by IV of Spades on July 18.
“Our goal is to help Cebu capture a larger share of the live entertainment economy,” emphasized SM Prime President Jeffrey Lim. “When major events come to the city, the impact extends beyond the venue. They support tourism, hospitality, transport, retail and the local services that benefit from stronger visitor inflow.”
He also noted that the development of SM Seaside Cebu Arena reflects the post-pandemic shift in consumer behavior experiences, with Millennials and Gen Z looking for experiences that hold strong appeal and create lasting memories. These, he told, can be easily shared socially.
The structure has seven storeys and a capacity of up to 25,000 people, which makes it one of the largest indoor arenas in the Philippines.
It also has a flexible event bowl to provide promoters with greater versatility in staging productions, which allows seamless configuration for both large-scale concerts and more intimate events.
These can range from sports and concerts to family entertainment, corporate shows, circus productions and motorsports.
SM Seaside Cebu Arena also features one of the most advanced center-hung displays in the country, supported by immersive LED ribbon boards that deliver a 360-degree viewing experience.
These are then complemented by high-capacity digital infrastructure, including 5G connectivity, enabling real-time engagement and enhanced production capabilities for both organizers and audiences.
Additionally, premium suites are integrated into the design to cater to corporate partners and elevate the overall hospitality offering.
Included in its design is support for both front-of-house and back-of-house requirements for major productions.
There is also a practice court is available for performers and multi-functional event spaces that can be used as holding areas, breakout rooms or venues for smaller private events.
SM Seaside Cebu Arena sits within South Road Properties (SRP) and is directly connected to SM Seaside City Cebu, as well as the upcoming SMX Convention Center Seaside Cebu, Park Inn by Radisson, and Radisson Hotel.
Meanwhile, aside from venues, SM Prime partnered with global ticketing company Ticketmaster to launch SM Ticketmaster last May.
The venture will replace SM Tickets and combine Ticketmaster’s global platform that will help prevent fraud through SM Prime’s local operating network.
