The show will make its premiere on the last Saturday of the month.
On Wednesday, July 15, ABS-CBN dropped the teaser for the upcoming current affairs show entitled Ibang Level ‘To.
The said program is set to premiere this July 25 (Saturday) and will bring together the tandem of Kapamilya comedienne-host Melai Cantiveros-Francisco and resident showbiz reporter MJ Felipe.
ABS-CBN News shared in a press statement, “‘Ibang Level ‘To’ promises engaging storytelling of extreme and outrageous accounts on Pinoy subcultures, inspiring experiences, groundbreaking innovations, and trending social media moments that go beyond the ordinary.“
By combining Melai’s signature humor and MJ’s wit, they said, both hosts will provide a “distinct Filipino perspective on such stories on screen.”
For its debut episode, the show teased the exploration of some unconventional Filipino homes, from floating houses in Manila Bay and hanging shelters beneath the bridges of Tondo to an upside-down home in Benguet.
Melai and MJ will then embark on an “extreme gastronomic journey,” with the hosts set to feature and try some of the country’s bizarre delicacies, such as the abuos or red ant caviar, the crispy sinuso or lechong kawali out of pork breast in Bulacan, and Pampanga’s adobo that uses a “strange organ” from a rat as the main ingredient.
Lastly, they will dive deep into the healing properties of the calabash fruit, which is said to relieve symptoms of arthritis and gout; the plant grafting technique that made a simple mango tree bear three kinds of fruit; and a berry that makes sour fruits taste sweet.
Ibang Level ‘To is the newest program of the ABS-CBN Current Affairs team and will replace the long-running human interest show Tao Po, which will air its finale episode on Saturday, July 18, after three years on the air.
It also joins other CA-produced shows on the Kapamilya network’s line-up such as SOCO and My Puhunan.
Ibang Level ‘To will air every Saturday at 6:45 pm on ABS-CBN sa ALLTV2, A2Z, and Kapamilya Channel.
It will also stream on Kapamilya Online Live, the ABS-CBN News YouTube channel, and iWant.
