Star Magic All-Star Games 2026 highlights Philippines-Thailand showdown in main basketball event

On Thursday, July 9, a media conference was held for the highly-anticipated Star Magic All-Star Games, which is mounted by the ABS-CBN talent management group Star Magic.

This year, it goes international as the local stars will battle it out on the court against some of Thailand’s biggest boys’ love (BL) stars from media giant GMMTV during their basketball showdown that will take place on August 23, 2026, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

Thursday’s event also gave the public an initial look on the final team rosters, as well as updates from the artists themselves.

Leading the Team Star Magic Shooting Stars from the Philippines is playing coach Gerald Anderson, who noted that the match is more than just a game, but a move that binds together two cultures.

“This is going to be an amazing event… I’ve been doing this (Star Magic All-Star Games) for so long, but to be part of this specific one is really a privilege. This is two cultures coming together,” said the star of the primetime series Blood Vs. Duty.

Joining him in the squad are Ronnie Alonte, Jeremiah Lisbo, Emilio Daez, River Joseph, Ashton Salvador, Argel Saycon, Elyson De Dios, JV Kapunan, Tristan Ramirez, and JM Ibarra.

Meanwhile, popular twin actors AJ-Chayapol Jutamas and JJ-Chayakorn Jutamas also virtually joined the conference from Bangkok. They shared their excitement and expressed their eagerness to face the Star Magic Philippines team.

Joining the twins are Neo-Trai Nimtawat, Joss-Wayar Sangngern, Gawin-Caskey,  Ryu-Phudtripart Bhudthonamochai, Aston-Ratiphat Luengvoraphan, Marc-Natarit Worakornlertsith, Ping-Krittanun Aunchananun, and Teshow-Promsakha Na Sakonnakhon.

Meanwhile, the All-Star Games 2026 will also feature two other events — the Junior Basketball Game and Women’s Volleyball.

In the Junior Basketball Game, Team Blue and Team Red will be facing each other.

Team Blue includes Jeremiah Lisbo, as well as Iñigo Jose, Fred Moser, Dustin Mayores, Jan Silva, Dylan Ytturalde, Binsoy Namoca, Bryce Andres, Rocky Labayen, Ice Almeria and Rave Victoria.

As for Team Red, it is composed of Seth Fedelin, Joaquin Arce, Josh Worsley, Marc Santiago, Lance Lucido, Andrez Del Rosario, Miggy Jimenez, Marc Nanninga, Rob Blackburn, Russu Laurente, JP Cabrera and Robbie Jaworski.

Over the volleyball match, the Lady Warriors Blue Team and the Lady Spikers Red Team.

The former is led by Captain Ball Reign Parani,  Jas Dudley-Scales, Kolette Madelo, Loisa Andalio, Anji Salvacion, Isabel Laohoo, Aya Fernandez, Janah Zaplan, Leona Andalio, and Rain Celmar.

The Lady Spikers Red Team, Meanwhiel, will feature Lella Ford, Vivoree, Analain Salvador,  Magui Ford, Ai Dela Cruz, Gillian Vicencio, Sophie Reyes, and Fyang Smith.

Tickets are now available via SM Tickets’ website and physical outlets nationwide, with prices ranging from PHP499 in Box Regular to PHP12,000 in the Courtside area.
