Celebrating the beauty of choosing love everyday.
That is the theme of the newest single from Kapamilya star Maymay Entrata, who released the track entitled What We Love on Thursday, July 9.
In a social media post, Maymay shared the inspiration behind the dance-pop track. “This song is for the memories that still make you smile, the moments that still feel like home, and the kind of love that stays. Because with the right person, love is something you choose every single day,” she noted.
Meanwhile, in another post, she revealed that the song was “sitting on the shelf” for about four years, “just waiting for the right time.”
“And now sobrang grateful po ako na finally, today is the day na maibabahagi ko na po siya sa inyo,” added the singer-TV host, who co-wrote What We Love with Nhiko Sabiniano, Trisha Denise, and Greg Shilling.
Meanwhile, in the music video for the single, she featured her real-life partner, Joaquin Enriquez, as they enjoy a simple getaway together.
“Mas naging espesyal po ang kantang ito because of the right person who made me experience a love without fear and a love that is constant, reassuring, and never makes you question your worth,” added Maymay on social media.
She also thanked God for letting her “experience His love first,” and because through Him, she said she has “learned how to recognize the kind of love He wants for me.”
Maymay gained massive succesa in the OPM sceme with the release of her hit song AMAKABOGERA in 2021, which was later followed by more singles such as the revival of Puede Ba, Tsada Mahigugma, Paradise, and Masunog Man.
Maymay is set to perform the song live in Barrio Fiesta Caravan 2026 in Birmingham, United Kingdom on July 12 and in ASAP XP in Australia on July 25.
