Following its trending first season.
On Wednesday, July 1, ABS-CBN streaming platform iWant confirmed that the microdrama series The Chambermaid’s Daughter, which is top-billed by Alexa Ilacad and BGYO member Gelo Rivera is getting a second season.
The said vertical series, which is the first produced by ABS-CBN Studios, was first streamed online last April 30, gained over drew an estimated 5 million combined views on the ABS-CBN Facebook page combined within days of its premiere.
“They are ready to serve kilig feels once again! Magbabalik na ang cutie love story nina Hannah & Daniel sa trending microdrama series ng iWant!” the platform’s post read announcing the second season.
Included were photos of its lead stars, together with director Theodore Boborol.
The first season followed hotel room attendant Hannah Montano, played by Alexa Ilacad, who is often overlooked at work despite her dedication.
That is until she was chosen by Korean executive Daniel Jeon, played by Gelo Rivera, to become his private Tagalog translator.
“What begins as a simple side job soon leads to a life-changing turn, pulling Hannah (Alexa) into a world far beyond what she has known,” the description provided by the network continued.
“Hannah develops a growing connection with Daniel as she adjusts to her new environment, with both navigating personal histories and expectations tied to their roles as a housekeeper and a business executive.”
The premiere date for the second season has yet to be revealed as of this writing.
