The one and only Queen of Teleserye Themesongs has added another feather onto her cap.
In a social media post on Wednesday, June 17, original Filipino music (OPM) singer Angeline Quinto shared her latest life achievement.
The 36-year-old mainstay of the country’s longest-running musical show ASAP XP revealed that she has earned her college diploma, graduating with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Major in Marketing Management from the Immaculada Concepcion College.
Sharing photos from the graduation rites and other snapshots taken during the ceremony, Angeline referenced her iconic debut single Patuloy Ang Pangarap, which she both used as an audio and included its lyrics in her caption.
“Di parin makapaniwala sa aking nakikita… lahat ng panalangin ko, ngayon may kasagutan,” she opened her post.
The singer said that inspire of her sleepless nights and tiresome days, as well as her mommy duties to her two kids, all while juggling her showbiz commitments, she was able to make it.
“Sa kabila ng puyat at pagod kasabay ng pagiging Nanay kay [sylvioandsylvia] kasabay ng mga shows, music events out of town and out of the country, shoot ng series, kinaya,” she wrote.
She then thanked her family, including her husband, Nonrev Daquina, for being her inspiration.
Angeline likewise expressed gratitude to her professors and supporters.
She then dedicated this achievement to her late mother and told, “And Mama… My angel in heaven, this is the moment I wish I could share with you the most. I love you forever Ma.”
The singer then gave all glory and honor to the Lord.
In another post, Quinto also shared a reel from the ceremony and a message to all working students and fellow mothers who are pursuing their studies.
“Sa mga working students, and sa mga Mommies na until now ay nag aaral pa, You’re doing a great job,” Angeline told them.
She added, “Saludo ako sainyo, mahirap oo. Pero kakayanin niyo yan at sa mga Mommies na gustong ipagpatuloy ang pag aaral, huwag kang matakot magsimula ulit.”
For her, age or being mom should not be a deterrent for people to pursue education.
“Hindi hadlang ang edad o pagiging nanay, para sa mga Pangarap natin. Hindi magiging madali, pero tandaan mo, bawat module na natatapos, bawat exam na naipapasa, at bawat hakbang na ginagawa mo ay para sa mas magandang kinabukasan mo at ng pamilya mo,” Angeline furthered before adding that they must keep on dreaming.
