It is also a personal project, as he participated in various stages of the creation of the song.
In a notice issued on fan connection platform Weverse, Korean music label BELIFT LAB announced that K-pop star Heeseung, who now goes by his stage name Evan, will be releasing his debut single album later this month.
Entitled Ride Or Die, the two tracks are set to be released on June 22 (Monday) at 6:00 pm, Korean time.
“Evan participated in the entire creation process, from writing the lyrics and music to producing the recording, and poured his feelings for his fans into the digital single,” noted the agency on the new record from the 24-year-old star.
It also noted that it is “full of delicate sensitivity and intense energy,” as it asked fans for their interest and support.
This marks his return to the limelight after leaving his former band, ENHYPEN, after six-years with the team in March 2026.
Evan debuted with the band in 2020 after becoming part of the line-up at the conclusion of the survival-reality show I Land that same year.
In the official website of his parent agency, Evan is described as a “versatile vocalist defined by a trendy, sophisticated tone.”
“He made his debut in 2020 as HEESEUNG of ENHYPEN, and has garnered acclaim for his seamless vocals and polished stage presence,” it continued.
The company added that he has consistently showcased his creative range through songwriting and production, with Evan now poised to “define a new chapter as a solo artist.”
They also disclosed that the name EVAN “captures an alternate dimension of his identity and represents the essence of his musical artistry.“
Through this persona, the label said, he aims to share a sound shaped entirely by his own unique color and emotional depth.
