On Wednesday, May 13, events organizer CNCA Media announced that Japanese actor Mackenyu Arata is heading back to the Philippines later this year.
The star of the hit Netflix live action adaptation of the animè One Piece, where portrays the role of Roronoa Zoro, will be mounting a fan meeting for his Filipino supporters this August.
Entitled P1ece of Yu, the show will take place at the The Theatere at Solaire in Parañaque City this August 29, 2026 (Saturday) at 7:00 pm.
At present, ticketing information and other details are still yet to be made available.
This event will mark his return to the Philippines after his last visit in November 2023, when he attended the Manila Pop Convention at Ayala Malls Manila Bay in Parañaque and held his first solo fan meeting, Closer To You, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
Aside from One Piece, Mackenyu is also known for his other works such as his portrayal of Scar in the live-action adaptation of Full Metal Alchemist, as Yukishiro Enishi in the final installment of Rurouni Kenshin, Naozumi Hiyama in Overdrive, and his role in the 2016 TV adaptation series Sakurasaku.
