It was a packed itinerary for him then.
On Saturday, May 9, K-pop star Choi Soobin of the boy band Tomorrow X Together (TXT) uploaded pictures that he took during his recent trip to the Philippines.
In the 12-photo carousel he shared on Instagram, the 25-year-old idol dropped images of him as he basked in the sunny island of Cebu, where he headed on a quick two-day trip with his friend back in March.
Aside from the beach, Soobin also shared pictures of his experience at the famous canyoneering and waterfall jumping activity at Badian.
In the caption, he wrote: “A chaotic and fun trip to Cebu,” which is a fitting description for what happened during that short getaway.
It was last April when Soobin uploaded a 35-minute vlog on the band’s official YouTube channel, where he shared his rather extreme experiences in the country, as he enjoyed various water activities during his stay.
Not only that, he also got somewhat immersed in the local culture, as he also dined in various spots and witnessed a birthday celebration, the Filipino way.
However, what was a quick, side quest to the Philippines became a national headline as in the same video, a taxi driver attempted to overcharge him for the ride from the airport to his accommodation.
Soobin and his friend stood their ground and refused to pay the PHP1000 fee being charged, especially with the K-pop star having been given by a tip by his fellow member Taehyun, who visited Cebu for his 23rd birthday in 2025, and instead paid the PHP500 they have agreed upon.
In response, authorities have filed cases against the erring taxi driver and operator.
Meanwhile, prior to this trip, Soobin, along with other members of TXT—Yeonjun, Taehyun, Beomgyu, and Huening Kai—visited the Philippines together back in March for a fan meeting in Manila.
Meanwhile, last April, the team issued their most recent extended play entitled 7th Year: A Moment of Stillness in the Thorns, which carried the lead single Stick With You.
