Through a artist-fan connection platform, K-pop star Jay of the group ENHYPEN held a live broadcast on Monday (April 20) to celebrate his 24th birthday.

However, during which, he received comments from fans who have remained largely divided following the sudden departure of former member Heeseung last March.

At one point of the stream, he decided to address the matter and told, “I don’t know what to say but… Like, what should I do?

He soon clarified that he was pertaining to the mixed comments where fans have fought to state that the team remains “OT7,” while other respond with them supporting the current six-member lineup, which also include Jake, Sunghoon, Jungwon, Sunoo, and Ni-ki.

Jay told, “Some of you guys, just like, you actually don’t care about what the situation is going on, right? Some of you just keep saying six, seven, six or seven, six or seven, ENHYPEN is what.”

I actually don’t care so I’m okay. ENHYPEN is ENHYPEN and like I actually don’t care so I’m okay,” he added.

But he said that fans should be careful doing this around other members, especially on their birthdays, as he does not want them to feel bad.

Today was such a happy birthday for me but I’m really, like, nervous that, what if other members would feel depressed in this situation. Like, I’m really scared for that,” he said.

It was last March when Heeseung was announced by their agency, BELIFT Lab, to be exiting the group after a more than five-year run with them.

The company confirmed that he will be moving forward as a solo act, with him eventually launching a new stage name as Evan earlier this April.

As for ENHYPEN, they have moved forward and have since appeared in engagements, such as a festival in Melbourne, Australia as a six-member team.
