On her social media account, Filipina tennis sensation Alex Eala shared her latest activity, which is her attendance in the Laureus World Sports Awards 2026—which is a celebration of the world’s greatest athletes and achievements in sports.
Wearing a white dress made by her uncle, Rhett Eala, the 20-year-old traded her usual action-ready look for the elegant affair.
In the caption, she wrote, “Endlessly thankful to be part of such a special night. The Laureus Sports awards reminded me of how deeply sports can impact countless lives.”
“Seeing all the inspiring people around me last night, I was able to experience that effect first hand,” she continued.
“I was especially touched with [Nadia Comaneci]’s acceptance speech,” Eala also shared.
Comaneci particularly stressed that “sport is education,” something that the Pinay netter couldn’t agree more. “Thank you for paving the way and inspiring countless others,” Alex told Nadia.
“A heartfelt congratulations to all the awardees, thank you for what you do for sports,” she concluded her caption.
