In a reel posted by B’in Music on social media, the behind-the-scenes look at the recent show held by Taiwanese superstars Jerry Yan, Vic Zhou, Vanness Wu, and Mayday’s Ashin.
The four banded together for the F Forever would tour, which is being staged as part of celebrations of the 25th anniversary of the hit series Meteor Garden, which starred Yan, Zhou, Wu, as well as Ken Chu as the fictional group F4.
In the final frame of the said clip, a poster was attached where a list of destinations, which includes Manila.
However, further details are still unavailable, as of this writing.
Also listed as stops of the world tour are Chongqing, Jakarta, Bangkok, Singapore, and Kuala Lumpur.
Initially, it was reported that Chu was a part of the said activity, but it was confirmed by the actor-singer himself back in December that talks between him and the company, B’in Music, bogged down after his three conditions were not approved.
Based on the Japanese manga Hana Yori Dango, the Meteor Garden aired in Taiwan in 2001 and was brought to the Philippines in May 2003— posting high viewership rating during its original run and at one point, even registered a lion’s 68% audience share.
Its fame led to a cultural phenomenon and the rise of Asianovela sub-genre in local television, which eventually ushered in imported drama serials from other Asian countries, mainly South Korea, China, and Japan.
