Last Saturday, April 4, Kapamilya actor JM Ibarra shared a reel and a couple of pictures from his recent hike to Mt. Pinatubo in Zambales, where he was joined by his perennial on-screen partner Fyang Smith.
In the said clip, the 25-year-old shared various sights and their moments together during the activity, with the timeless song Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now by Starship playing in the background.
Notably, the said song was the one used in the 2015 movie Crazy Beautiful You, which was set in the said natural wonder, and starred another loveteam, KathNiel of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla.
The trip happens a month ahead of the scheduled premiere of Almost Us this May, which will be the first starring role of the duo, which is also known as JMFyang, in a big screen project.
Although, they were part of the cast of the latest installment of the horror movie Shake, Rattle and Roll: Evil Origins, which screened at the 51st Metro Manila Film Festival.
Prior to these, they have also showcased their potential in acting through the digital drama series Ghosting, which streamed as a banner show of ABS-CBN’s streaming platform iWant from July to December 2025.
Fyang and JM joined the reality show Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11 in 2024, where the film’s leading lady emerged as the big winner of the said batch.
