It will be a major programming shift for the Kapamilya network.
In a statement issued by ABS-CBN on Tuesday, March 10, it made an announcement regarding the forthcoming changes to its primetime block, which stem from the back-to-back finales of its flagship series FPJ’s Batang Quiapo and Roja on Friday, March 13.
The network’s message read, “ABS-CBN and Coco Martin are most grateful to the millions of viewers who followed the journey of Tanggol in ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’ every night making it the country’s most watched primetime series and breaking viewing records since 2023.“
In light of the series finale, the Kapamilya network will launch a new look Primetime Bida block on Monday, March 16.
Right after TV Patrol the ABS-CBN revamped primetime drama slate will be opened by the TV run of the the suspense drama series The Alibi: Ang Buong Katotohanan, which is topbilled by Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino.
It will take over the time slot of FPJ’s Batang Quiapo and will air weeknights at 8:00 pm.
It will then be followed by the finale week of the mystery drama What Lies Beneath, which will return to its original 8:45 pm time slot as it continues to keep audiences hooked by guessing the identity of the real killer.
Back-to-back Asian dramas await Kapamilya viewers on ALLTV2 and A2Z as the the South Korean romance drama Love Scout, which stars Lee Jun-Hyuk and Han Ji-min, will finally make its premiere on Monday at 9:30 pm.
Following that, at 10:15 pm, is the rerun of the Chinese drama Forbidden Flower starring Jerry Yan and Xu Ruo Han will remain on the line-up preceeding the delayed telecast of The World Tonight.
Meanwhile, the premiere of the upcoming series Sigabo, which stars Coco Martin, this time with his partner Julia Montes, will be moved to a later date, as per the noticr.
According to the network, it is to allow preparations to continue to make it an “exciting offering that will bring a new viewing experience.”
