Philippine Airlines announces canceled flights to Middle East until March 12

In its advisory on Sunday, March 8 at 11:30 am (Manila time), flag carrier Philippine Airlines announced the list of canceled flights to and from destinations in the Middle East for the next few days.

This, as tensions in the region continue to bring safety concerns and uncertainty to the movement of passengers.

In view of ongoing developments and in the interest of ensuring the safety of our passengers, crew and ground personnel, PAL said that it has decided to not proceed with the following scheduled flights.

On March 8 and 9, the following flights will not operate. PR 685 (Doha-Manila), PR 684 (Manila-Doha), PR 654/655 (Manila-Riyadh-Manila), and PR 658/659 (Manila-Dubai-Manila)

On March 10 (Tuesday), PR 685, PR 684, and PR 654/655 will not push through, while on March 11 (Wednesday), flights PR 685, PR 684, PR 658/659 are all affected.

On Thursday, March 12, PR 685 will not be taking off.

Affected passengers are advised that they may consider availing rebooking or refund options in accordance with PAL policies.

Passengers are also advised to check on their flight status and the latest flight advisories via the PAL website, mobile app or official social media channels before proceeding to the airport,” the airline added. “PAL reiterates that safety remains our highest priority and appreciates the understanding of our passengers.”
