On Sunday, March 8, as the country joins the celebration of International Women’s Day, President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. aired a message, where he expressed that the administration remains steadfast in ensuring that every woman in the country is valued, respected, and empowered.

He also paid tribute to all Filipina women for their courage, wisdom, and vital role in nation-building.

The chief executive said, “We will continue to open more spaces for women to lead and to recognize their full potential, so that their strength and vision may guide us in building a more just, inclusive, and hopeful Bagong Pilipinas.”

He also honored women for shaping the course of history through “excellence, courage, and selfless devotion,” and told, “In every woman we see strength with grace and grit with compassion — a force that has always been the heartbeat of every nation, shaping its identity, its values, and its future across generations.”

Marcos also said that while womanhood carries many responsibilities, much of women’s work often goes unrecognized—yet, these remain crucial in sustaining communities and the nation.

The President then highlighted the resilience of Filipino women in overcoming obstacles and transforming hardship into hope.

Where there is care, there is a woman. Where there is sacrifice, there is a Filipina giving her all so that others may have a better future.”

The President ended his message with a salute to all women. “Mabuhay ang lahat ng mga kababaihan! Mabuhay ang bawat Filipina saan mang panig ng mundo.”
