The couple was among the frequently-guested personalities of the Queen Of All Media in her eponymous talk show before.
In a post on Instagram last Saturday, February 28, Kapamilya host-comedienne Melai Cantiveros-Francisco and her husband, Jason Francisco, visited the home of Kris Aquino.
In the images, the couple was able to have a snapshot with the 55-year-old, who had just undergone procedures in a hospital in Makati City earlier in the year. They also took photos with Aquino’s sons Josh and James “Bimby” Aquino, as well as former Kris TV headwriter Darla Sauler.
In the caption of the said post, Melai jokingly wrote: “Babalik na sa TV ni Ms Kris! Char char lang.”
She then, kind of, explained the reason without actually explaining it. “Binisita lang namin si Ms. Kris kasi ninang namin [siya] sa kasal. (Pero, kahit) kasi kung di namin [siya] ninang sa kasal, bibistahin padin namin [siya], hehehe.”
“Diba ang gulo ng caption ko kasi nakakpagod nmn kasi mag isip ng caption, pero hindi ako sa Linda Walker ha, na kinakausap ang sarili ha,” the comedienne furthered, referencing a viral Chinese micro-drama series.
“Hooaay sorry ang gulo na ng caption ko, pero thank you Ms. Kris, Ninang, sa pa dinner mo sa amin,” she added.
On a serios note, she thanked the Lord for the positive progress in the health of the Queen of All Media, with Melai writing, “Thank you Lord bumabalik na ang gana mo sa [pagkain] Ms. Kris. Nice seeing and bonding with Bimby and kuya Josh.”
Lastly, she conveyed her well wishes for the iconic TV personality. “[F]ull healing, Ms. Kris, ang prayer namin [sayo], and sana makabalik kana sa TV.”
Both products of the reality show Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up in 2009, Melai and Jason became two of the most-frequent guests of Kris in her talk show Kris TV, which aired from 2011 to 2016.
Coincidentally, Melai, together with Karla Estrada and Jolina Magdangal, hosted the replacement show that is Magandang Buhay, which continues to air via reruns to this day.
