It has generated buzz among the fandom and beyond.

Latst Thursday, February 27 (Manila time), Steven Kim, a member of the K-pop boy band AHOF, stunned Filipino FOHAs, the name of their fan base, with his post.

This, as the 26-year-old wrote a caption in Filipino that read: “panatang makabayan iniibig ko ang inyong kababayan.”

The post, which, as of this writing, has amassed over 1 million views and 34,000 likes on X (formerly Twitter), alaso garnered amusing comments from fans.

Given the caption, many have pushed forward their SteJay agenda, which is a “ship name” for Steven and the actual Filipino member, JL.

While it seems unclear what the actual context is at first, the answer lies in the prior post made by the idol, who has been endearingly tagged as “Kap” for “kapitan” (a Filipino word for “leader”) by Pinoy FOHAs.

In his tweet last Tuesday evening, February 24, he challenged their fans to comment, where he would use the most-liked of the bunch as the caption of his next post.

Lo and behold, it was the exact line that was originally replied by user stevenkimpogi that won the challenge, which led to Steven including it in his subsequent post.

Steven, together with the rest of AHOF, recently visited the Philippines last February, where they had a couple of public engagements, which are the R Music Fest in Laguna and Quezon City and their first fan meeting in Cebu City.
