The blockbuster film has once again garnered high viewership on a different platform.
Last Thursday, February 19, the 2025 blockbuster movie Meet, Greet & Bye was officially added to the vast content library of streaming giant Netflix.
Starring the powerhouse cast consisting of Maricel Soriano, Piolo Pascual, Joshua Garcia, Belle Mariano, and Juan Karlos, the Star Cinema production made waves on its premiere, as it led the Top 10 movies on Netflix Philippines.
It is the another feat for MGB, having been hailed the highest-grossing non-Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) movie for 2025 as it crossed the PHP200 million mark in the box-office.
Also part of the cast for the film are Matet de Leon, Jeffrey Tam, Kaila Estrada, Kaori Oinuma, KD Estrada, and Robbie Jaworski among others.
Directed by Cathy Garcia-Sampana, the story revolves around the Facundo siblings who will do everything in their power to grant their mother’s dying wish of meeting her favorite Korean star, Park Seo-Joon.
Sampana previously directed the likes of Four Sisters And A Wedding, Three Words To Forever, and the highest-grossing Filipino film of all-time, Hello, Love Again.
With themes of illness, loss, sibling conflict, and forgiveness, Meet, Greet & Bye tugged the hearts of the viewers for its impactful portrayal of families going through the same emotions and situations.
It also joins the list of family dramas produced by the same studio—also known for their other iconic family dramas like Tanging Yaman and Sa’yo Lamang.
