KATSEYE’s Manon goes on temporary hiatus due to health-related reasons

Last Saturday, February 21 (Manila time), international pop group KATSEYE announced that one of its members, Manon Bannerman, will be going on a hiatus.

In a statement issued by their parent label Hybe X Geffen Records, it was explained: “After open and thoughtful conversations together, we are sharing that Manon will be taking a temporary hiatus from group activities to focus on her health and wellbeing.”

We fully support this decision. KATSEYE remains committed to showing up for one another and for the fans who mean everything to us,” it continued.

The company then assured that the other members of the group—Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Megan Skiendiel, Sophia Laforteza, amd Jeung Yoonchae—will continue scheduled activities during this time.

[A]nd we look forward to being together again when the time is right,” they added. “Thank you to our EYEKONS for your continued love, patience, and understanding.”

KATSEYE was formed at the conclusion of the reality-survival program Dream Academy in 2023. The following year, in 2024, they made their official debut with their first-ever extended play entitled SIS (Soft Is Strong), which carried the hit singles Debut and Touch.

In June 2025, they dropped the extended play Beautiful Chaos, which featured more popular songs such as Gnarly, Gabriela, and Gameboy.
