Proving how age is nothing but a number in pursuing higher education.
In a post on her Instagram account last Monday, February 16, actress-host and former beauty queen Ruffa Gutierrez shared another update in her continued pursuit in education.
The 51-year-old is currently enrolled in the Philippine Women’s University (PWU), where she is looking to get a master’s degree in Communication Arts.
Regarding that, Gutierrez happily shared: “One step closer to that Master’s degree! 🎓 I successfully defended my thesis proposal at [PWU] today. ✨📚📖🤓”
She then thanked her adviser for the guidance and patience, as well as to everyone who has been cheering her on, to whom she dedicated this milestone to.
“I’m living proof that balancing work, family, and school is not easy but it is worth every moment. This journey continues to remind me that it’s never too late to chase your dreams and finish what you started,” she continued.
For her, growth doesn’t stop, no matter the age or the season in life. “I’m proud of myself for choosing to learn again, to challenge myself, and to keep evolving,” told Ruffa.
Lastly, as a message of inspiration to anyone out there who feels like it’s too late for them, she said: “You’ve got this!! ❤️🥰”
Ruffa returned to school late last year, more than three years after she graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Communication Arts in 2022 through the Expanded Tertiary Education, Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP).
Prior to that, Ruffa was last seen in GMA and Viu’s collaboration series Beauty Empire, where she portrayed the role of Velma Imperial.
