The singer was overwhelmed with the reception that they got from the public.
Through her Instagram account on Sunday, February 15, singer KZ Tandingan shared snapshots from the recent concert with her husband and fellow singer TJ Monterde.
The show, which was held over four nights from February 6 to 9, made history as they became the first couple to hold a sold-out concert series that long at the Araneta Coliseum.
In her post, the country’s one and only X-Factor Philippines champion wrote: “I’ve been quiet the past few days, just trying to sit with everything. Because what happened over those four it was grace unfolding in nights was more than a concert real time.“
She continued, “Four sold-out nights. Right after TJ’s record-breaking 40-show SNM tour. I still can’t believe I was there when history was made.“
SNM refers to TJ’s Sarili Nating Mundo tour, which was held in the Philippines and multiple stops abroad in the past year.
“I was already so grateful to have guested for the entire tour I thought that was the peak of what I’d get to experience. But ‘In Between’ became God’s reminder that He always has more in store than we can imagine. And when He moves, He surrounds you with the right people to help carry the vision,” added KZ.
She then narrated that back in September, their team only had a creative pitch deck and a big dream. “It felt overwhelming. But God sent us an even bigger team and beyond. passionate, committed, and willing to go above,” she told.
“So I’d like to thank these people who poured their excellence into every detail because those four nights weren’t just the biggest shows of our lives… they were the best we’ve ever done,” thanking each and every member of the production team and her family.
To the Bituin and Kzers, she expressed, “you inspire us every single day. We love you.”
“And above all, thank You, God. For the opportunity. For the platform. For showing up in every detail of those four nights. All the glory and honor belong to You,” furthered the singer.
To end, “If this is what happens in between, I can’t wait to see what You have planned next.”
The concert, directed by John Prats, marks the beginning of a series, as TJ and KZ will perform at various states in the United States and Canada in March.
It was back in 2015 when they first started dating. Five years later and amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, they tied the knot in August 2020.
Being both musicians, they naturally made songs together, such as their wedding song Can’t Wait To Say I Do, Ikaw at Ako Pa Rin, and the duet version of Monterde’s hit single Palagi.
