The much-awaited event featuring local artists will happen this weekend.

Last Wednesday, February 4, organizers of the upcoming Wonderful Moments Music Festival (WMMF) gave a sneak preview to members of the press ahead of its staging on Saturday and Sunday (February 7 and 8).

During the conference held onsite at the SMDC Festival Grounds in Parañaque City, iMe Philippines Benelyn Emperado and WMMF director Nico Faustino shared some of the works done to bring the grand celebration of Filipino music to life.

According to Faustino, the production team has planned activities that will elevate the experience for the concertgoers, who will all be greeted with various stalls and sights upon entering the venue.

On top of that, the men of Boys Night Out will be having their podcast-like segments in-between performers that will let attendees take a breather before the hype goes up once more.

The entire group also noted that they are looking to shift the tide by working to make both days as on-time as possible, especially with the show running for eight hours straight from 4:00 pm to 12:00 mn.

Noting international partners like iMe, Faustino said: “That’s what we want to show na kaya natin… We want to show them that the Filipinos can actually be at par or do better (than global players).”

In the same conference, the director also revealed the ambitious goals that they have. Not only will the festival have a second iteration coming, but there are also plans to make an annual event and eventually bring it to various parts of the globe in the long-term.

“Actually, when we met with iMe and Myriad, ‘yun ang goal na gusto namin: ang gawing yearly thing (itong festival),” he said.

Faustino continued: “That’s why we want to do this na magandang-maganda for the audience, so that when the audience… nakita nila na ‘puwede pala ‘yon,’ ‘may ganito pala dito’ o ‘posible pala ‘yon’…”

Also present at the said event were Be The Next: 9 Dreamers alums AJ Colico, Dylan Burton, and Francis Adaya, together with members of MNL48, who sang the festival’s official theme song.
