It was a night filled with music and cheers from his supporters.
Last Saturday, January 17, Korean singer-rapper Colde brought his ongoing BLUEPRINT+ tour to the Philippines. Held at the Music Museum in San Juan City, it was an evening that showcased his artistry and even featured guest personalities.
Prior to the start of the main event, South Korean techno star DJ Skope took the stage to hype up the crowd with remixes of songs all-so-familiar to many people in the room for more than 20 minutes.
After he had played the last song, the lights went out and as soon as it returned, the main man, Colde, had already taken centerstage with the back-to-back performance of his songs Toxic Love and Heartbreak Club.
But the room got wilder after someone familiar joined him on stage. He is none other than Khakii, whom Colde frequently collaborates with for songs like Bass and JUICY—both of which they performed for fans in Manila.
Just as the program reached its first half, Khakii was given the floor to not only maintain the energy, but he even brought it up a notch or two higher with the songs Trouble, and Wake Your Ass Up. He even treated the attendees with his unreleased single.
In his ment, Khakii also proudly shared that he was able to experience something delicious during his stay in the country—the internationally famous chain Jollibee.
With a change of his look, Colde returned by singing his song Sunflower and a still-unreleased bop that many must look out for. When the Dawn Comes Again, Control Me, and WA-R-R, were also part of the setlist that night.
Of course, not to be missed is how he brought everyone back to 2023 when he did Star, which was the official soundtrack of the series See You In My 19th Life.
While that was already a perfect way to close the night, as it has been a longstanding tradition in concerts—members of the crowd cheered for “isa pa” (“one more”).
Something that Colde and DJ Skope, who stayed throughout the night, gave to everyone. Moreover, Khakii also came back.
Appropriately playing All in Motion, it indeed looked like a giant party inside the auditorium as everyone danced and vibed along.
Presented by Wavy, Studio PAV Asia and Oceania, Lyko!, and Show Biz Town, Inc., the event is part of the Asian and Oceanian leg of the BLUEPRINT+ tour.
Aside from Manila, several stops across the region include Yokohama (January 11), Melbourne (January 13), Sydney (January 15), which all came before Manila. It was then followed by shows in Bangkok (January 20), Taipei (January 22), and Hong Kong (January 25).
Hailing from South Korea, the R&B superstar Colde is known for his atmospheric vibe and incorporation of indie,lo-fi, jazz, rock, and hip-hop elements in his music.
Widely known as the vocalist for R&B duo Offonoff, he has also participated in making K-drama soundtracks—with his other single being Treasure for Backstreet Rookie.
