Expressing their love for him.
On Monday, January 26, the late Korean pop idol Moonbin, a member of the boy band ASTRO, would have turned 28 years old.
In celebration of the occasion, his family and friends expressed their messages for him on social media and other outlets.
On Instagram, his sister and Billlie member Moon Sua uploaded a throwback image of them together when they were much younger.
In the caption, she wrote: “Happy birthday to our one and only Binnie.”
On their respective accounts, meanwhile, his co-members in the band, such as leader Jinjin, MJ, and Sanha expressed their messages to him by also uploading their respective snapshots of him when he was still around.
Sanha, whom Moonbin also had a sub-unit with, also covered Roy Kim’s If You Ask Me What Love Is in memory of his late bandmate.
Moonbin began his career in the entertainment industry in his childhood when he made appearances in TVXQ’s music video Balloons in 2006 and hit Korean drama series Boys Over Flowers.
He then made his debut as a K-pop idol in 2016 with ASTRO, where he also became a member of the group’s sub-unit Moonbin&Sanha with Yoon Sanha when that was launched in September 2020.
In 2023, the duo embarked on a tour titled Diffusion, which was also held in Manila on the 24th of March that year.
However, a month later on April 19, 2023, Moonbin passed away at the age of 25.
