The dedicated innermost lane is now open for buses again.
On Monday, January 5, the busway lane along the northbound and southbound sections of EDSA corner Roxas Boulevard, Pasay to Orense in Makati, has returned to normal operations.
This, as the asphalt overlay, which is part of the EDSA Rehabilitation Project, was completed within the original timeline and in time for thr resumption of work and school on Monday.
He continued: “Saktong-sakto kasi back to school at back to work na karamihan ng mga pasahero, kaya tuloy-tuloy na ‘yung mabilis at mas convenient nilang biyahe gamit ‘yung busway.”
Lopez then reiterated that the inner lane remains strictly exclusive to authorized passenger buses.
No Contact Apprehension Policy,” the transport chief stressed.
Repair works for other sections of EDSA will continue on limited schedule, from 10:00 pm to 4:00 am daily to prevent causing major traffic issues along the busy thoroughfare.
