In a statement, the Department of Tourism announced that its upcoming Transit Tour Program will begin to be operational on January 16, 2026.

The curated four-hour guided experience will be offered to eligible international transit passengers with at least an eight-hour layover at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).

To qualify, travelers must be from visa-free countries or those holding valid Philippine visas to allow them to clear immigration.

In the said tour, these tourists will experience key heritage sites such as Intramuros and the National Museum in the City of Manila, alongside modern lifestyle destinations including major entertainment and leisure hubs in Pasay and Parañaque.

The DOT’s Transit Tour Program will run from Friday to Sunday and includes roundtrip air-conditioned transportation, DOT-accredited tour guides, entrance fees, travel insurance, and on-ground assistance.

This activity is one of the newly-launched programs by the DOT at the country’s main gateway, which include the Medical Concierge for travelers looking to have medical procedures done in the country.
