With its issuance currently paused for a system maintenance.
Since last Monday, December 22 until next Sunday, January 4, 2026, the issuance of the Concessionary Cards, also known as the White Beep cards, are suspended at all train stations.
According to the statement issued by Beep, the suspension is to “allow for system maintenance and upkeep during the yearend holiday season,” with the Concessionary Card Issuance Program (CCIP) temporarily unavailable at all stops of the LRT-1, LRT-2 and MRT-3 during this period.
“We will resume beep™ card issuance at the stations by Monday, January 5, 2026. Please stand by for further announcements,” it added.
These white-colored Beep cards, which come with automatic 50% fare discount on the three above-mentioned lines for students, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities (PWDs).
CCIP cards, which can be availed for a one-time fee of PHP30, are valid from four years from the date of issuance. For students, their cards need to be renewed at the start of each school year, as lomg as they are still enrolled in school.
In recent months, the issuance of these cards have been brought closer to schools and communities surrounding them through the White Beep Card caravan, which has beem brought to the campuses of the De La Salle University (DLSU) and the University of Santo Tomas (UST), among others.
