K-pop group EXO teases first comeback in over two years with ‘Reverxe’

Making their return to the music scene with a six-member lineup.

On Monday, December 8, K-pop group EXO dropped the first teaser trailer for their much-awaited comeback.

Entitled Reverxe, the three-and-a-half-minute clip sees members Suho, Chanyeol, D.O., Kai, Sehun, and the returning Lay in the video that made cinematic references to the music video of their 2012 debut song MAMA.

The release of the clip also comes days ahead of their scheduled fan meeting on December 13 and 14 in Seoul, South Korea.

However, notably absent from this comeback are members Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin, who are also known as the sub-unit EXO-CBX.

The three are currently embroiled in an ongoing contractual dispute with the band’s parent label SM Entertainment. Currently, the three are signed under another management company, INB100, for their solo activities.

Meanwhile, the upcoming album will be the follow-up to the group’s seventh album, Exist, which came out in 2023.

Since making their debut in 2012, the group released successive hit singles, which include Growl, Overdose, Love Me Right, Monster, Ko Ko Bop, Love Shot, and Obsession, among many others.
