The tandem will open the new year with their first-ever movie project together.
Studio Viva unveiled on Wednesday, November 3, the full trailer of the upcoming Philippine adaptation of the Korean movie A Werewolf Boy, which originally starred Song Joong-ki and Park Bo-young.
In the local version, the lead roles were assigned to two of the production company’s rising talents, Rabin Angeles and Angela Muji, also known as the RabGel love team.
Directed by Crisanto B. Aquino, the story will revolve around the characters of Boy (Rabin Angeles) and Sara (Angela Muji).
One day, Sara‘s family will discover a feral boy in their yard, whom they will take care of despite her initial apprehension.
As the story progresses, they will develop a special bond as Sara teaches him how to act like a normal human being, while Boy acts as her savior.
But their relationship will be challenged by men, led by Albie Casiño’s character, who will hunt for Boy after seeing him transform into his werewolf form.
Making her special participation in the movie is Lorna Tolentino, with other cast members being Candy Pangilinan, Yayo Aguila, Jeffrey Hidalgo, Albie Casiño, Rose Van Ginkel, Annika Co, Simon Ibarra, Onyl Torres, Raffy Tejada, Angel Raymundo, Francis Mata, Karl Medina, Ruslan Jacob, Lui Manansala, Kanye Avendaño, Luna Amor Buniag, Boaz Mariano, and Omar Flores.
The film is set to premiere in cinemas nationwide on January 14, 2026.
This project was first revealed during the Viva One event at the Manila International Book Fair (MIBF) 2025 last September with a surprise teaser drop that stunned RabGel fans at the venue.
Angeles and Muji sat down as lead stars of their hit adaptation series Seducing Drake Palma, which was based on the online novel by Beeyotch on the Wattpad platform.
Prior to pairing up in SDP, Rabin and Angela first worked together in another adaptation, the top-trending Ang Mutya Ng Section E, which streamed on Viva One from January to April 2025.
Both of them will also be seen in the second season called Ang Mutya Ng Section E: The Dark Side, which will begin streaming on Friday, December 5.
