They are the latest duo to be formed.
Last Thursday, November 6, Korean music label Pledis Entertainment responded to circulating news reports about the formation of a new sub-unit of its boy band SEVENTEEN.
This time, the pairing was reported to be DK and Seungkwan, who are also part of the other sub-unit, BSS with their fellow member Hoshi.
In a short statement translated by the entertainment website Soompi, Pledis confirmed it and wrote, “DK and Seungkwan are preparing a unit album with a target release in January of next year.”
This confirmation makes the upcoming unit the group’s fifth, following the above-mentioned BSS, JxW (Jeonghan and Wonwoo), Hoshi x Woozi, and most recently, CxM (S.Coups and Mingyu).
Earlier this year, BSS even had a comeback in January with their EP entitled ‘Teleparty,’ which carried the track ‘CBZ (Prime time)’. Prior to that, they have released singles like ‘Just Do It’ and ‘Fighting’.
Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN marked their 10th debut anniversary with the release of their fifth full-length album ‘Happy Burstday,’ which carried the lead single, ‘Thunder’.
