A month after its supposed original premiere date.
On Monday, November 3, ABS-CBN and Dreamscape Entertainment shared the updated trailer for the upcoming primetime action series ‘Roja,’ which is topbilled by Donny Pangilinan and Kyle Echarri.
The story of the show follows the lives of the owners, workers, and guests of the fictional resort La Playa Roja. Their lives will turn upside down after a group of armed men attacked the island one night.
Joining forces with Donny and Kyle in the series are Maymay Entrata, Janice De Belen, Joel Torre, Raymond Bagatsing, and Lorna Tolentino.
Yassi Pressman, Nikki Valdez, Cris Villanueva, Freddie Webb, Sandy Andolong, Robert Seña, Levi Ignacio, Rubi Rubi, Marc Abaya, and Bernard Palanca are all part of the show.
ContentAsia Best Supporting Actress winner and prodigy Zia Grace, Emilio Daez, Kai Montinola, AC Bonifacio, Harvey Bautista, and Iñigo Jose are participating alongside Inka Magnaye, Vangie Castillo, Sophie Reyes, Rikki Mae Davao, Rans Rifol, Maika Rivera, Lou Yanong, Floyd Tena, Raven Molina, and Gello Marquez.
‘Roja’ was originally set to be launched last October 20, replacing ‘It’s Okay To Not Be Okay’. However, ABS-CBN and Dreamscape postponed the series due to inclement weather that affected the production schedule.
Instead, the mystery-thriller ‘What Lies Beneath’ was launched, taking over ‘Roja’s’ slot on linear television platforms and streaming platform Netflix.
However, in the updated trailer, it was confirmed that ‘Roja’ will still be seen on those platforms.
The series will first stream on Netflix on November 21, followed by iWant on November 22. Viewers on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, TV5, and Kapamilya Online Live can catch it beginning November 24.
The time slot has yet to be confirmed as of this writing.
