In a clip uploaded by the Miss Universe Philippines Organization on Friday, October 31, reigning national title holder Ahtisa Manalo was seen dancing to the song ‘Mabuhay,’ which highlights the culture of the country.

The said video was filmed at the famous Rizal Park in Manila, with shots from her hometown in Quezon Province.

As of writing, the clip has already received more than 160,000 likes on her Instagram account.

The release of this video happened after the organization issued a documentary that followed Manalo in her preparations for the upcoming Miss Universe pageant in Thailand.

Manalo, a three-time national representative, will vie for the country’s next Miss Universe crown, which was last won by Catriona Gray in 2018.

Not a stranger to the international pageantry scene, she first represented the Philippines to the Miss International 2018, where she took home the first runner-up title.

After six years, Ahtisa returned to the scene when she joined Miss Universe Philippines 2024 and placed 2nd runner-up and was appointed as the first Miss Cosmo Philippines. She competed in Vietnam that same year and ended her stint with a Top 10 finish.
