In a signing ceremony held in Makati City last Friday, October 24, GT Capital Holdings, Inc. signed a memorandum of agreement with the Ateneo de Manila University for the establishment of a new Ateneo campus in Riverpark.
Riverpark, a Federal Land Community, the largest township development of GT Capital wholly-owned property subsidiary Federal Land, Inc. and joint venture Federal Land NRE Global, Inc., located in Cavite.
The new Ateneo campus will rise on a 15-hectare parcel of land at Riverpark in General Trias City, Cavite, which will further elevate the township, which is seeing a growing number of strategic developments such as a UNIQLO Logistics Facility and the upcoming SM City General Trias.
Ateneo’s Cavite campus is expected to open by 2030.
The signing ceremony was attended by various signatories, led by GT Capital’s Vice Chairman Alfred Ty, President Carmelo Maria Luza Bautista, Federal Land Vice Chairman, Federal Land President Mr. Jose Mari H. Banzon, as well as Federal Land NRE Global’s President Mr. William Thomas Mirasol, and Vice Chairman Mr. Yusuke Hirano, and
Representing Ateneo de Manila University, meanwhile, were its President Fr. Roberto Yap, SJ and Ateneo de Manila University Board of Trustees Chairperson Bernadine T. Siy.
GT Capital Vice Chairman Alfred Ty said, “Ateneo’s presence in Riverpark not only strengthens the educational landscape of Cavite but also uplifts the lives of the communities we serve.”
He furthered, “Our investment in this campus reflects our long-term commitment to creating sustainable value for generations of Filipinos, anchored on the values of excellence and service.“
For his part, Ateneo de Manila University President Fr. Roberto Yap, S.J. noted, “The new Ateneo campus in Riverpark allows us to extend our mission and provide more families in Cavite and nearby provinces with access to quality education rooted in our Jesuit tradition.”
By 2026, residents of Riverpark, envisioned to be The Next-Gen City of the South and designed as a sustainable development that promotes smart and holistic living, will gain direct access to the Open Canal Interchange of the Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX).
Last May, Federal Land NRE Global reported a 100% sell-out of the first tranche of commercial lots in Riverpark, which are set to be developed into office, retail, and other mixed-use facilities.
