It is the comeback of the longest-running horror movie franchise.
On Friday, October 3, Regal Entertainment uploaded the first teaser trailer for the upcoming installment of ‘Shake, Rattle and Roll.’
Called ‘Evil Origins,’ the seventeenth installment of the franchise will feature some of the top talents of today in the three episodes that will each be directed by Shugo Praico, Joey De Guzman, and Ian Loreños.
Confirmed to be starring in the movie are Richard Gutierrez, Carla Abellana, Janice de Belen, and Manilyn Reynes.
Also there to bring life to the characters in the spooky tales are Ivana Alawi, Fyang Smith, Loisa Andallo, Ashley Ortega, Ysabel Ortega, Elijah Alejo, Francine Diaz, Kaila Estrada, Ryan Bang, Seth Fedelin, JM Ibarra, and Dustin Yu.
The film will be the follow-up to the prior installment, which was subtitled ‘Extreme’ that was an entry to the 49th edition of the Metro Manila Film Festival in 2023.
Like its predecessor, ‘SRR: Evil Origins’ is one of the eight entries confirmed for the 51st edition of the MMFF this Christmas, as announced last July.
The other three entries named by the organizers are ‘Call Me Mother,’ ‘Manila’s Finest,’ and ‘Rekonek,’ with the remaining four set to be disclosed on October 10.
